about the artists
Sebastião Lobo is a 20-year-old Portuguese jewellery artist who, since the age of 16, has crafted over 30 unique pieces across five thematic collections. Straddling the line between reality and fantasy, his studio is a living entity, breathing boundless imagination.
Daniela Padilla, aged 26, shares with us moments of profound inspiration that could not be contained beneath the surface of the artist’s skin. Intimately, they dissolved into her blood, igniting her imagination. Probing her emotions, they intertwined with her femininity and materialised onto pages that cried out for life.
the exhibition
They seem to come from a past as distant as the origin of the Universe. They reproduce deep within the earth and burst forth in a voracious frenzy for life. They trace paths that are nothing more than lines of memory.
This insect-like hunger infected the artists, who cleverly satisfied it through creation. Like illusionists, they slipped through delicate cracks of knowledge and manipulated materials that leave impressions on our sensibilities.
